Scientific name : Tradescantia occidentalis

Status : Threatened

Reason for designation : A perennial restricted to four disjunct sand dune habitats where the species is at risk from invading leafy spurge, cattle grazing and dune stabilization.

Occurrence : Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba

Status history : Designated Threatened in April 1992. Status re-examined and confirmed in November 2002. Last assessment based on an update status report.
