Species at Risk Policies - Policy Regarding the Identification of Anthropogenic Structures as Critical Habitat under the Species at Risk Act

This document is one of a suite of Species at Risk Act (SARA) policies developed to support predictable, clear, and consistent implementation of the Act. These policies address key areas of the SARA cycle. They are designed to provide clarity for jurisdictions, Indigenous organizations and communities, and stakeholders on the requirements of the Act and to clarify how the Government of Canada or Environment and Climate Change Canada meets its obligations under SARA.

We would like to thank those respondents who have provided comments to date. A number of respondents have requested additional time to review the draft policies. Consequently, in order to allow additional time for engagement and consultation on the draft SARA policies, we will be extending the comment period until March 31, 2017.

Consultation period: 2016-09-19 to 2017-03-31 - Send comment via email or see below for other contact information.
